About Me

I am a research scientist at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Haptic Intelligence Department directed by Dr. Katherine J. Kuchenbecker. My research interests encompass computational mechanics, numerical methods and algorithms, design optimization, vibro-acoustics, soft-body mechanics, and laminated composite materials.

I previously earned my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Koc University (Istanbul, Turkey) in 2018, under the supervision of Dr. Ipek Basdogan. Prior to my doctoral studies, I received my M.Sc. degree in Computational Mechanics from the Technical University of Munich in 2013. I was supervised by Prof. Dr. Fabian Duddeck during my Master’s thesis study, which I conducted in BMW Group. Earlier, I obtained a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey) in 2011.

For more information about my work please visit the Research section. The complete list of my publications can be found on the Publications page.
