I am an assistant professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of KU Leuven. I am located at the Bruges Campus, and I am affiliated in both Mecha(tro)nic Systems Dynamics Group and M-Group. I also have a side-appointment as a research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems. My research interests encompass computational mechanics, numerical methods, design optimization, structural dynamics, and composite materials.
For more information about my work please visit the Research section. The complete list of my publications can be found on the Publications page.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (2018) from Koc University, where I worked as a Marie Curie early-stage research fellow. I also hold an M.Sc. degree in Computational Mechanics (Technical University of Munich, 2013) and a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Middle East Technical University, 2011).
